Attachment + Relationships + Parenting

Therapy serves as a vehicle to help people regain connection to themselves as well as deepening connections with others. The ways in which people attach to other people, as well as how individuals attach to and perceive themselves stems from the love, care, nurturance, and attunement, or lack thereof, from primary caregivers. Through the course of counseling, I help people understand their

attachment style so that they can learn how perceptions of acceptance or

rejection influence the stability and health of interpersonal connections.

Interpersonal and Intrapersonal counseling practices also enable people to begin

relying and trusting others, learn how to assert their wants and needs, and resolve

past attachment + developmental trauma that may be contributing

to experiences of shame, disconnect, and isolation.

At Sacred Crow, I also offer Parenting Sessions and workshops geared toward helping caregivers and parents learn how to help, comfort, and understand their kiddo + their needs. Our parenting strengths and struggles are impacted by our own upbringing, trauma, societal expectations, and gendered based roles, which illuminates the delicate and, at times, complicated nature of caring for another. Through Parenting Sessions, parents can expect to learn about healthy versus unhealthy parenting techniques, gain insight into how certain aspects of their child’s identity and experience are influencing the current situation, as well as learning and integrating co-regulation strategies so that soothing, comforting, and staying present with your child during distress is connected, healing, and conducive
